Oxford Pershing Square Scholarship
Full scholarship to support outstanding students on the 1+1 MBA, covering both the Master’s degree and the MBA year. Recipients are exceptional individuals who can demonstrate the potential and commitment to finding scalable and sustainable solutions to world-scale social challenges.
You will spend your first year completing a Master’s in your chosen discipline before joining the MBA in your second year.

You will be invited to a spring ‘trek’ to New York City hosted by the Pershing Square Foundation, where you can participate in meetings and workshops with leading innovators and change makers.

English language capability
* Completed degree-level course entirely in English, or
* TOEFL: Minimum Score: 110& Minimum required on each component: Listening – 22; Reading – 24; Writing – 24; Speaking – 25, or
* IELTS: Minimum Score: 7.5& Minimum required on each component: 7.0
- Academic achievement, demonstrated through degree results, GMAT or GRE score, previous university prizes and awards, and other academic achievements
- Leadership potential, demonstrated through experience and motivation
- Strong personal character, integrity and commitment
- Intention to focus on addressing world-scale social challenges in your career, either in an existing organisation or through development of a new enterprise
- Ability to envision how to achieve scalable and sustainable solutions to these challenges
- Articulated vision on how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will allow you to fulfil your objectives

- Tuition fees for both your Master’s degree and MBA programme course.
- The scholarship also provides at least £15,009 towards living expenses for both years of study.

How to Apply
First Step: To apply for the 1+1 MBA you must meet the entry requirements for both the Oxford MBA and your chosen Master
Second Step:
- begin your application
You will need to complete five questions via our online assessment platform.
- Two motivation-based questions – all candidates will answer the same questions
- Two competency-based questions – these will be randomised
- Written response – this will be randomised and light-hearted to show us how you can think on your feet!
(The motivation-based questions give you the opportunity to demonstrate your motivations for undertaking an MBA and why the Oxford MBA is the right programme for you.)
- You need to upload two professional or academic references.
- You will be asked to upload all your university degree academic transcripts/mark-sheets to the online application form.
As part of your application, you will need to submit a supporting statement: Tell us something that is not covered in your application which you would like the Admissions Committee to know about you. (Maximum 250 words)
- You also need to submit the following essay: Explain why you see this as particularly beneficial for you and how it fits with your career and personal development aims. (Maximum 250 words)
- Re-applicants will need to submit an additional essay What improvements have you made in your candidacy since you last applied to the Oxford MBA? (Maximum 250 words)
* When reviewing your essays, the admissions committee will be looking for evidence of the following: good communication skills, leadership potential, analytical skills, fit with the Oxford MBA community, among other characteristics.
Third Step: Complete the MBA application form (selecting 1+1 under the programme of interest), then pay £150 application fee
- If you are currently a resident in a country on the World Bank list of low-income countries and cannot afford to pay the application fee, you can indicate this on your application form by selecting the ‘I need a fee waiver’ option in the ‘Application Fee Waiver’ section of your application and following the instructions. If you are not a resident of one of these countries, you must pay the application fee in order to submit your application.
