$2000 Award for Excellence: Young African Journalists and Media Professionals in the Field of Youth and Sports.

This Award of Excellence is the first of its kind in the history of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to honor young African journalists and media professionals concerned with youth and sports’ affairs in Africa, and to motivate journalists, media professionals and young researchers to present their best topics in the areas of press, television and radio, as well as scientific applied research.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ashrab Sobhi, launches the Award of Excellence for Young African Journalists and Media Professionals in the area of youth and sports ; within the framework of the role carried out by the Ministry in strengthening the participation of youth in all areas. The contest aims to to stress the importance of the noble mission of the media, to encourage creativity, to adopt freedom of opinion and to form an objective opinion, as well as to emphasize the importance of the role of the media and its impact on youth and sport.

The African Award of Excellence will be awarded as follows:

  •  First place: $ 2000 + Excellence Cup.
  •  Second place: $ 1,500 + Excellence Cup.
  • Third place: $ 1,000 + Excellence Cup.
