Finance Associates for the United Nations

The United Nations is offering a volunteer opportunity for nationals of or legal residents in Egypt. The volunteer will ensure the implementation of operational and financial management strategies and adapts processes and procedures besides ensuring the administration of budgets and functioning of the optimal cost-recovery system. The expected duration of this volunteer program is about 12 months.

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Board.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Living with a physical or sensorial (hearing or visual) disability.
  • Up to 35 years of age.
  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or be registered with a university’s degree in a master’s degree in finance, business, or public administration.
  • Work experience will be an added advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • Language skills: Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
  • Field of expertise: Experience in other development programs and projects.
  • You are not required to have a driver’s license.
  • Required personal skills: accountability, adaptability, flexibility, commitment, motivation, commitment to continuous learning, communication, planning, organizing and working in teams.

Specific requirements:

  • Interest in the UN and adaptability to a multicultural environment.
  • Strong commitment to working for sustainable development and human rights.
  • Excellent Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PPT, Word).
