Program Period

The Challenge consists of three rounds:

  • Round One: Deliverables will be accepted from 23th July 2019 at 10:00am to 30th November at 11:59pm]. At the end of this Round, up to 50 winning Deliverables will be selected to proceed to Round Two.
  • Round Two: Deliverables will be accepted from 31st January 2020 at 10:00am to 20th May 2020 at 11h59pm. At the end of this Round, up to 30 winning Deliverables will be selected to proceed to the Final Round.
  • Final Round: Participants are not required to upload a Deliverable on the Challenge website for this Final Round.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

This Challenge is open and offered solely to: 

  • Student. Any individual aged eighteen (18) years and/or with full legal capacity, who (i) is currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution or (ii) has recently graduated from a post-secondary institution less than 2 years before the current scholar year, with a student card to prove it. Each Student may only participate once in each Challenge. If the student is a minor, you must provide this authorization signed by a parent or guardian in the name of the minor. 
  • Innovative business. A business entity, regardless of its business area. Startups may be required, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to provide proof of (i) company registration by submitting a registration certificate issued within the last three (3) months, or ongoing company registration, or any trade registry and proof ensuring the registration of the entity in the relevant country, and (ii) a valid professional insurance policy subscription.
  • General interest players: associations, schools/universities, cultural establishment, artists and creatives, freelance.

Opportunity Cost


the winner(s) will receive the following:

  • Student category: An electric bike or the equivalent in the form of a gift voucher (worth €1000) and the opportunity to develop the project through an internship or work-study programme with the Organiser.
  • Innovative Companies category: The Participant(s) selected during the final will be accompanied in the development of their project and will be part of the scheduling of the digital workshop for a minimum of 12 months with the guarantee of obtaining from the Organiser its collaboration in participating in the installations, in the purchase of services or equipment or solutions.
  • General Interest category: The Participant(s) selected during the final stage shall receive support in developing their project and be incorporated into the digital workshop programming for a minimum of 12 months with guaranteed collaboration by the Organiser in participating in installations and in the purchase of services, equipment, or solutions.
