The A. M. Qattan Foundation (AMQF) is an independent, not-for-profit developmental organisation working in the fields of culture and education, with a particular focus on children, teachers and young artists.The Foundation is an independent institution, working in the knowledge and creativity sectors, using an integrative approach and targeting a variety of social groups, particularly children, teachers and young artists.

Program Period

  • Applications received between April 1st and June 30th 
  • Proposed Date for Implementing the Project/Event Between: August 1st – November 30th 
  • Date for Announcing Decisions :July 31st 

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Award or grant applicants are solely responsible for submitting their work and any attendant forms to the appropriate CAP contact.
  • CAP is not obliged to consider any application that is incomplete, that does not satisfy the application criteria and/or is not submitted with all the required forms.
  • CAP is not obliged to return grant or award submissions to any applicants, whether successful or not.
  • CAP, or its nominated judges, will announce the results of all grants and awards. CAP is not obliged to inform applicants individually of the results, or details of the deliberation process.
  • CAP will consider proposals three times per year: at the end of February, the end of June, and the end of September. Applications must submit all necessary materials and fill out all required forms by the deadlines stated. CAP is not obliged to respond to any applications that are submitted before or after the deadline.
  • Recipients of the Young Writer or Young Artist Awards are not eligible to apply again within the same category.
    The maximum amount of any scholarship awarded by CAP should not exceed the total amount required to complete the course of study in question.
  • The Foundation maintains the right to not approve any new grants awarded to an applicant who has failed to submit, within the time frame agreed upon in the Grant Implementation Agreement signed by the Foundation and the recipient, the requested final reports and documents relating to any previous grant from the Foundation.
  • The program responds to the applications submitted over the year through regular periodic meetings. The Program Management is committed to respond to all the applicants through sending letters of approval or apology.

  • the tuition costs – or training

The grant doesn’t cover:

  • expenses pertaining to the preparatory year.
