MSc Climate Justice

Glasgow Caledonian University welcomes the news that climate justice will develop as a focus of academic inquiry through GCU’s Masters. JRF has been working on this issue in the UK over the past five years and we feel there is a need to develop evidence base and the application of key principles in policy and practice.

The MSc Climate Justice is a globally unique masters programme which provides students with an in-depth understanding, analysis and knowledge about the principles that underpin climate justice – human rights, development and climate change.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Scholarships will be awarded on an overall assessment of merit and promise of the candidate, including their financial circumstances.
  • You must be International students who have applied and received an offer for the Full Time MSc Climate Justice course starting September 2020.
  • You must have obtained UK honors degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in international development, development studies, environmental sciences, climate change, social sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, geography, political sciences, sustainable development, or economics.
  • IF you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognized professional bodies.
  • Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element below 5.5, Please note: if you are from a majority English speaking country, you may not be required to provide further proof of your English Language proficiency,If you do not meet the English language requirements, you may be eligible for our pre-sessional English programme which is taught at our Glasgow campus.
  • You must be able to cover the balance of your tuition costs and your living costs in line with the UKVI requirements when applying for a Visa
  • Awards will not be deferred to any another academic session.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • This scholarship offers full time International students funding towards their tuition fees for the September 2020 Full Time MSc Climate Justice Programme.
  •  scholarship amout  £5,250 for International students which will be deducted from tuition fees.
  • only self-funded students can apply for tuition fee scholarships.
  • tuition fee scholarships cannot be transferred if you choose to change course without prior authorisation from the scholarships team.
