The Michael Wong Pakshong Bursary offers a living-cost bursary worth £3,000 to an international student studying on a postgraduate taught program in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • You must be Classed as an overseas student for fee purposes.
  • You have applied to start a postgraduate taught programme in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law at the University of Bristol in September 2020.
  • You must Start their postgraduate program in September 2020.
  •  You must not already be in receipt of other funding which would equate to more than the full cost of tuition fees alongside a Bristol scholarship.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • Bursary values £3,000.
  • The award can only be used as a bursary towards the cost of living.
  •  scholarships will be given in the form of a tuition fee discount and is non-transferable. No cash alternative will be offered.
  •  If the amount of scholarship awarded is more than the cost of the tuition fees, the tuition fees will be covered in full and any remainder will not be issued.
  •  Undergraduate scholarships (unless otherwise stated) will be awarded for all years of undergraduate study taking place at the University of Bristol (not including placement years), subject to satisfactory attainment throughout the programme.
  •  The University of Bristol reserves the right to update or amend its scholarship awards without notice, based on the availability and quality of applications that are received.

Second Step: submit an application for the Michael Wong Pakshong Bursary using the International Scholarships online application form from here.

Third Step: You have to fill the application’s requirements , personal details, and application information and answering the essay questions .

Notes:

  • Successful scholars will be informed via email on or before 10th July 2020.
  • If you apply for the Michael Wong Pakshong Bursary, you will also automatically be considered for the Think Big Postgraduate Scholarship. You do not need to submit two separate applications.
