The Programme is designed to educate the next generation of engineers and researchers in Smart Cities and Communities by bringing together 4 of Europe’s most prestigious universities and promoting collaboration with industry through research. Students will have the opportunity to acquire new and valuable skills and benefit from state-of-the-art research at regional and transnational level, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, employability, knowledge exchange and multidisciplinary learning.
The SMACCs Master Programme is spread over 2 academic years (4 academic semesters), for a total of 120 ECTS. Students are distributed across multiple Full or Associated Partners according to their chosen study path. Regardless of the path chosen, students will take courses by the respective partners in the first 3 semesters (30 ECTS/semester) while the last semester will be dedicated to the Master thesis (worth 30 ECTS). The common language of instruction of the programme for the partner institutions is English (however, extra courses offered by Associated Partner HEIs may also be in their native languages).
