Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET) Scholarship:
Funded by Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET) this Scholarship was established in 2007 to provide assistance to students undertaking a one-year research project relevant to sheep and wool.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • The Scholarship is offered subject to the recipient having an unconditional offer of admission or being currently enrolled full-time in an Honours or Master by coursework degree within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney.
  • The Scholarship will be awarded by the Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET), on the basis of academic merit, area of research, and with the support of an academic referee from the University of Sydney.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • The Scholarship is valued at $3,500 per annum and is tenable for one year.
  • The scholarship will be paid as a one-off payment after the first relevant census date.
  •  Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET) and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university without prior approval of the Dean of the Faculty of Science or their nominated delegates.
  • The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
  • No other amount is payable.

Third Step:The applicant must be supported by an academic referee from the University at which the student is enrolled or intends to enroll (download Academic Referee’s form).
