CeNS International Call for Short-Term Scholarships 2020

We are looking for highly motivated doctoral and postdoctoral candidates who are interested in multidisciplinary research and want to join our collaborative network of nanoscientists in Munich University.

More Details

  • All positions offer excellent re­search and training conditions within the stimulating scientific environment of the Center for NanoScience.
  • Applications by researchers with handicap will be considered with priority under equal conditions.
  • CeNS welcome applications from female candidates.
  • These are full-time positions. The possibility of part-time and flexible working hours will be considered.

Short-Term Scholarships:

Three short-time scholarships are granted by “Nanoagents”:

  • Using Advanced Fluorescence Methods to investigate the Assembly and Maturation of HIV
  • Synthetic Organic Chemistry
  • In vitro reconstitution of self-organizing systems

Program Period

From 3 to 6 months.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject at the time of project start.
  • The scholarships are open to non-German applicants only.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in either the field of physics, chemistry or life sciences.
  • Ether prepare for a Master Degree in one of the same fields to be concluded no later than 2 months before the start of the  PhD project or hold a Master Degree or equivalent.
  • For postdoc positions: hold or prepare for a PhD or Dr. rer. nat. in a related subject.
  • Excellent Grades.
  • Avery good command of the English language.
  • Strong scientific motivation.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary research.

Opportunity Cost

  • The scholarships cover a monthly allowance of 1365 EUR.
  • No tuition fees will be charged.
