Cheltenham illustration awards 2020 – University of Gloucestershire

The Awards are administered by the University of Gloucestershire, UK. There are two titled loose sections, ‘Student’ and ‘Emerging and Established’. The Student category is open to all full-time students over 18 years of age worldwide. The Emerging and Established category is open to any newly practicing illustrators who are wishing to gain exposure of their work and to those who are more established and are apart of the illustration world.

The theme for the 2020’s Exhibition and Annual: All Together Now: I am many stories.
The focus of the Awards has always been one of the narrative. Visual storytelling, whether sequential or single image, gives scope to the imagination and opens up possibilities beyond the present moment; what happened before? What happens next?

Program Period

A public exhibition will be held in Autumn/Winter of 2020 on behalf of the University of Gloucestershire.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Application is open to all students, emerging and established illustrators.
  • open to all full time students over 18 years.
  • File image size: (Portrait or landscape) 50×40 cm max, 300dpi.
  • Image format: High-quality JPEG.
  • File Name: (First Name_Last Name) .
  • Also, include a text file with your info also named (First Name_Last Name).

Opportunity Cost

(Prize)

  • The selected work will be showcased at the Museum in the Park, Stroud, UK, other venues such as the London Book Fair, and published in the 2020 Cheltenham Illustration Awards Annual, which will be distributed to educators and publishers, internationally.
  • The Awards will also be inviting work from established artists and illustrators whose work we admire and that contributes to the theme.

  • Full Name.
  • E-mail address.
  • Website address.
  • Title.
  • The description on Submission about your entries meaning (150 words max).
  • If you are currently a student still at the time of entry (including waiting for graduation) Please include- ‘STUDENT’ and the University you attended.

Second Step:

Press “send file” to submit your work.

  • Information file: txt (notepad/textedit).
  • Both image and txt file Names: (FirstName_LastName).
