Quarterly, TU Dortmund University offers its international students graduation scholarships from the DAAD Logo klein project STIBET I 2019. The graduation scholarship is meant to support international students completing their studies who are facing financial difficulties.n.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Student Statues: enrolled and registered at TU Dortmund University, as a bachelor, master or PhD student.
  • Immigrant statues: applications must have completed their university qualifications in a foreign country.
  • Good academic standing: it is expected that applicants will complete their degree with the future (one-year after scholarship) and their thesis should be officially registered no later than the application deadline date.
  • Social situation: applicants should genuinely need financial support.
  • Double funding is prohibited, i.n. multiple financing for the same purpose is forbidden.

Opportunity Cost

  • Grantees receive a minimum of 250 Euros a month.
  • Cost of living in Germany:Students require around 850 Euros per month to live In a large cities, costs can vary considerably depending on where you live.

How to Apply

First Step: Apply for your program whether the Bachelor and Masters from HERE or the PhD from HERE.

– Your application should include but NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Signed letter of acceptance.(Master and Bachelor degree).
  • Matriculation registration form.
  • Your passport with a valid visa for studying purposes (including an electronic residence permit and supplementary sheet if you have lived in Germany for a longer period of time).
  • The original of your secondary school degree (including all grades), The original of its translation in German or English.
  • A certificate of a German statutory health insurance.
  • Original German language certificate (a DSH2 or an equivalent).
  • Certificate of your de-registration(In case you have previously enrolled at a different university in Germany).
  • Original of university degree and (the original translation in German or English).
  • A letter which confirms the supervision by a professor.(P.H.D degree).
  • Admission letter by the doctoral committee.(P.H.D degree).

Notes:

  1. Send completed enrollment application documents personally at the information desk or by post.
  2. send the matriculation registration for the summer semester 2019 with all of the necessary documents (certified copies) to the following address:
    Technische Universität Dortmund.
    International Office – Admissions & Enrollment Office.
    Emil-Figge-Str. 61.
    44227 Dortmund.

Second Step:After you have been offered a place on TU Dortmund University, apply for the scholarship by Submit the below listed forms/documents within the given application period: :

  • Completed application form(download from here).
  • Official confirmation of thesis registration (this form is included in application and should be filled out by the examination office).
  • Current enrollment certificate from TU Dortmund University.
  • Recent summary of grades.
  • Resume/CV.
  • Copy of your residency permit.
  • Bank statements from your spouse(If applicable).
  • A copy of your current work contract(If applicable).

Note: submit your application to the International Office on time via postal mail (Emil-Figge-Str. 61, 44227 Dortmund). You can also drop your application off at the after-hours mailbox located next to the main building of the International Office or at room 209b or personally to Ms. Wasila Al-Dubai.

Third Step: An interview which is a mandatory portion of the application process.
