Erasmus+ KA1 Credit Mobility – Philips Universidad Marburg, Germany
With the new programme of the European Commission, ERASMUS+, you may have the chance to go to Europe for studies. Cairo university has an exchange agreement with Philipps-Universität Marburg in Germany, offering a limited number of mobility grants for students.
The new programme “ERASMUS+ Mobility focuses on the exchange of students and staff between European Higher Education Institutions and universities outside Europe.
The Scholarship is available to Undergraduate,Master,PhD and University Staff at Cairo University.
Opportunity Focus Areas:
- Open to all faculties
- Except: Engineering, Architecture, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Agriculture.
- Priority for: Media Sciences, Political Sciences, Economy
- Faculties of Medicine, Law, History, Archaeology, Science and Education are available for mobility only in German Language (C1 level for staff & Ph. D. – B2 level for students).
English (Some specializations require German).
EGYPT.
- For Staff: (5 days teaching + 2 days for travel).
- For Students: Undergraduate, Master, Ph.D. (5 months).
Staff Required Documents:-
- A copy of Proof of current position at Cairo University (CU) singed and stamped by the faculty
- Teaching agreement, signed by the applicant, signed and stamped by the related department at home university ( download)
- It is recommended to establish contact to the relevant department in Marburg before application.
- Language Certificate: English (minimum C1) or German (minimum B2), (related to the selected courses’ language of instruction at the receiving institution)
- Letter of Motivation (No more than one page)
- Declaration (download)
- A copy of valid Passport or ID
- Updated CV (Maximum 3 Pages)
Students Required Documents:-
- A copy of Proof of level of registration at Cairo University (CU) singed and stamped by the faculty
- A copy of Candidate’s transcript of records, including their GPA for the previous year (For undergraduates only)
- A Copy of last level certificate (For Master and Ph.D. only)
- Language Certificate: English (minimum level B2) or German(minimum B1), (related to the selected courses’ language of instruction at the receiving institution)
- Learning agreement for Studies, signed by the student and home Faculty “ filling in Part1: Before the Mobility” ( download)
- Letter of Motivation (No more than one page)
- Declaration (download)
- A copy of valid Passport or ID
- Updated CV (Maximum 3 Pages)
Important Notes and Regulations for Staff:-
- All applications are pre-screened by the selection committee. Only pre-selected applicants will be invited for an interview at the IRO (Internaltional Relation Office at Cairo University). For undergraduate students, higher priority will be given to those with higher GPA; however, all students are eligible to apply.
- All applications received (both softcopy and hardcopy) after the due date above will be considered incomplete and will be discarded.

- Contribution in the Travel expenses: (according to distance calculator) from 275-820 Euro
- Individual support: 160 € per month.
Student
- Contribution in the Travel expenses: (according to distance calculator) from 275-820 Euro
- Individual support: 850 € per month.
