Oskar Morgenstern Fellowship
The Oskar Morgenstern Fellowship is a one-year program for doctoral students from any university and discipline with training in quantitative methods and interest in political economy, economics, political science and sociology.
The aim of this fellowship is to expose students to strategies for utilizing quantitative and empirical techniques to explore key questions and themes advanced the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy. Morgenstern Fellows spend two weekends during the academic year and three days during the summer participating in colloquia on these three schools of political economy.
Academic & Student Programs has funds available to assist our fellows traveling to and presenting at academic conferences and conducting research. Funding requests should be submitted 60 days prior to the conference in order to receive maximum consideration.

- The Oskar Morgenstern Fellowship is a one-year, competitive fellowship program awarded to graduate students with training in quantitative methods who are attending PhD programs from any university in a variety of fields including economics, political science and sociology.
- Attend and actively participate in all aspects of the scheduled program of events including meals, hospitality and other organized social activities.
- Arrive on time and prepared for each colloquium session having carefully read the assigned reading in advance.

- A total of award of $7,000 includes a stipend, travel and lodging to attend colloquia hosted by the Mercatus Center. Morgenstern
- Fellows are eligible to apply for conference and research support and are eligible to re-apply each year of their studies.
