If you are an exceptional student with a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and you are curious, creative, and determined to pursue your dreams regardless of your circumstances, the Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program can offer you the scholarship and support system you need to realize your goals.

We create opportunities to activate the untapped potential of Arab youth, providing underserved, high-achieving students with the scholarships, support and skills training that they need to thrive. We imagine a world where our scholars become leaders in their communities and ambassadors of education in the region. We aim to reignite what is already in the region’s DNA: a culture of giving back, a connectedness to community, and a spirit of generosity that creates impact.
- The Foundation will be accepting applications for scholarships to study at the American University of Beirut (AUB), the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the American University of Sharjah (AUS)
- There are 2 cycles annually for our different partner universities.
- In February 2019 the program will open a second call for other universities in the region (Palestine, Jordan, and Morocco)

The scholarship supports students for the duration of their chosen degree, based on the credits required for each degree and the typical time needed to complete all required credits on a full load/semester basis. If the scholar maintains all the requirements of the scholarship and his/her financial situation does not change significantly, there will be no need to re-apply to the scholarship.

- ARAB CITIZEN:
You must hold no other passport. Preference given to residents of Arab world for at least 12 years. - 17-30 YEARS OLD:
For students now applying to the undergraduate level, you must have graduated from high school within the last 4 years. - ACADEMICALLY HIGH-ACHIEVING:
You must have a cumulative GPA of no less than 85% in high school or 3.0 in university. - REQUIRE FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
You must be willing and able to show proof of your financial need in your application. - APPLYING TO A PARTNER UNIVERSITY:
You must be planning to apply or currently attending one of our partner universities for a Bachelor or Master degree.

- Financial support includes support towards:
University tuition and other mandatory university fees
Health insurance, as per the university plan
On-campus housing costs, travel airfare and visa costs for students living away from family
Support towards living expenses - Non-financial support includes access to:
A network of Al Ghurair Scholars around the world
Community service experience
Work experience and exposure opportunities
Skill development tools and opportunities to build leadership skills
Academic advising, career counselling and mentorship
