C4TS is a world-leading Centre of excellence for translational research at Barts and the London School of Medicine & Dentistry (SMD), Queen Mary University of London. The centre focuses on the immediate post-injury phase, with research into the pathophysiology of injury and a pathway to ensure the translation of research into practice and into policy. World class research is coupled with international education and dissemination programmes to improve care and outcomes of trauma patients worldwide.

- The applicant must be a citizen of a low or middle income country as defined by the World Bank (includes lower-middle and upper‑middle countries).
- The applicant must work full time in a low or middle income country.
- The applicant must meet all MSc entry requirements of Queen Mary University of London:
- Medical Degree or Nursing/Paramedic BSc Honours degree (2:1 or equivalent). For entry requirements specific to your country, click here.
- English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 overall including 6.0 in Writing, and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking. TOEFL: 92 overall including 21 in Writing, 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening and 20 in Speaking. PTE Academic: 62 overall including 57 in Writing, and 51 in Reading, Listening and Speaking. - The applicant should submit a 1000 word essay on the burden of trauma in their own region and or country and the systems of care for managing injured patients.
- The applicant should submit a 500 word essay on how the MSc will help their education, career and injured patients in their institution or region.

- For completed qualifications, upload your final transcript and certificate (if available). For incomplete degree qualifications, upload an interim transcript. If grading information such as a GPA scale is shown on the reverse of your transcript, please ensure that you upload a copy of this page. For other incomplete qualifications you may provide an interim transcript or grade report or a letter confirming your registration.
- A CV (curriculum vitae) or résumé is a summary of your education and any employment to date. Please include start and end dates for each stage of your education or employment and the job title, duties and responsibilities for any employment.
- A brief (1,000 words maximum) personal statement that:
- Explains your interest in this area
- Describes any relevant research experience – for example, as part of a previous degree
- Lists any academic work you have published or which is awaiting publication
- Details of your referee(s) from your most recent academic institution. If you have been out of education for more than three years, an employer reference will be accepted. All references need to be on headed paper with an official institution/company letterhead.
