Description

Aquatec Maxcon Scholarship.

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist meritorious students with the costs of tuition fees while studying in the field of Urban Water Engineering in the Master of Engineering at The University of Queensland.

Established in 2019 and maintained by an annual gift from Aquatec Maxcon.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • You must have academic achievement to date.
  • You must have personal qualities, including leadership potential.
  • You must have any other qualities that the selection committee considers to be relevant to the applicant’s future success in the engineering profession.
  • You must have submits an application to the Head, by the closing date for applications.
  • You must have  enrolled or intends to enrol full-time in an Approved Program.
  • You must does not hold another scholarship that the Head considers to be similar.
  • The recipient may hold the Scholarship for the Normal Minimum Duration of the Approved Program, subject to the recipient,continuing to be enrolled full-time in the Approved Program; and
    achieving a GPA of at least 5 for each semester of study.

    Approved Program means the Master of Engineering in the field of Urban Water Engineering.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • The number and value of each Scholarship will be determined each year on the recommendation of the Head,
    after consultation with Aquatec Maxcon.
  • The value of each Scholarship is payable towards the cost of tuition fees of the Approved Program.

  •  cover letter: addressed to Professor Peter Halley, School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland and include details of your strength of interest in your field of study; any leadership experience; professional interest area; career ambitions; personal qualities and how will you benefit from this scholarship.
  • resume:  of no more than 2 double-sided x A4 pages include your skills summary; education; demonstrated leadership skills; personal qualities; any extra-curricular activities / membership ie. community service, engagement, sporting or cultural achievements.
  • .copies of any academic transcripts or qualifications you may have
  • Please combine your cover letter, resume and academic transcripts etc into ONE pdf file.
  • Please save your file as Surname_FirstName_Aquatec.pdf, for example Smith_Jane_Aquatec.pdf

If a recipient fails to satisfy rules, the recipient must show cause to the Head why the Scholarship should not be cancelled.
