Join Girls in Tech for a global virtual hackathon to design innovative solutions for those impacted by Breast Cancer (patients, survivors, caregivers).
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Although breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world among women, increased awareness, early detection/screening, and improved treatment options have helped aid in the decline of death rates over the past 30 years. It’s important to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and mobilize the Girls in Tech community to develop tech solutions for this disease. This tech challenge will do just that, to encourage the development of tools to promote prevention, monitor treatments, and address health disparities especially for women of color.
