Program Period

Variable according to programe.

Diploma from 4 months for 2 years.

Master from 8 months for years.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

You can apply for the DFL Scholarship if you are:

  • Female.
  • A citizen of one of the following countries in the Middle East: Palestine, Morocco, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon .
  • In financial need.
  • Committed to returning to home country once studies are complete.

To be considered for admission to a Master’s program and Graduate Diploma,

  • A student will normally hold a four year degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited university with a minimum 75% (mid-B) average over the last two years of full-time undergraduate study.
  • Some graduate programs may have additional or higher admission requirements. Check the specific admission requirements for the graduate program.

To be considered for admission to, PhD program,

  • A student should hold either an appropriate master’s degree or, students with a bachelor’s degree already registered in a master’s program, may convert to PhD studies in year 2 of some of the master’s programs. Students will normally be expected to have attained an 80% average and have achieved significant research progress as determined by their supervisory committee.
  • Some graduate programs may have additional or higher admission requirements. Check the specific admission requirements for the graduate program.

The scholarship cover tuition, residence and meal plans, and airfare for years you are completing your studies.

How to Apply

First Step: Apply for University:-

  1. Review your individual program page for program-specific application requirements.
  2. Complete the online application and submit the application fee.  (A non-refundable application fee of $105 (MA, MBE, MSC, MS or PhD) or $130 (MADS, Diploma in Applied Disability Studies, MBA, MAcc and MEd programs) in Canadian funds must be submitted for each program to which you are applying. 
  3. Within one week of submitting your application through OUAC, you will be contacted by e-mail with your Brock Campus ID (2 letters, 2 numbers, 2 letters) and instructions on how to log in to the Brock portal to upload the remaining required documents for your application to be considered
  4. As part of your application, reference reports must be submitted on your behalf. Referee information is entered into the OUAC application system, and we will contact them by e-mail.
  5. Monitor your application and document status on the Brock portal using your campus ID

Second Step:To apply for scholarship, complete and submit the following forms:

  1. DFL Scholarship Program Application(Grade)
  2. Financial Needs Analysis Form (Here)
  3. Supporting Documents Form(Grade)
  4. Then, have at least two references (one academic, one community-based) complete and submit the following form:
