Description

IBRO African Regional Committee Research Bursaries for African Researchers, 2020.

The IBRO African Regional Committee (IBRO-ARC) offers awards of up to €4000 each to young African researchers who have graduated with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in (fundamental or clinical research) and who have demonstrated their ability to carry out independent research.

IBRO is the global federation of neuroscience organizations that aims to promote and support neuroscience around the world through training, teaching, collaborative research, outreach and advocacy. More than 90 international, national and regional scientific organisations constitute IBRO’s Governing Council which, together with the five IBRO Regional Committees, address the needs and advance the work of individual scientists and research communities everywhere. In addition, IBRO has partnerships with like-minded scientific societies and organisations to identify priorities and help bridge gaps in knowledge, investment and resources in the field of brain research.

Egypt ,Tunisia ,Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Libya, Mauritania, Somalia, Djibouti, Comoros.

Program Period

4 Weeks.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Resident in Africa.
  • 45 years or younger
  • Have published significant research achievements in fundamental or clinical neuroscience
  • Must be graduated with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree (in fundamental or clinical research) .
  • Have demonstrated their ability to carry out independent research.
  • Should look for a host institution (within Africa or abroad) and provide a research proposal and detailed
    information on how the funds will be spent.
