Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • An international student (Canadian citizens, including those students holding dual-citizenship, and permanent residents do not qualify for these awards).
  • Entering the first year of post-secondary education for the first time (graduates from a 2-year CEGEP program transferring into their second year of a Queen’s program remain eligible for Admission Scholarships and Awards).
  • Students who are/were enrolled in their first-year of courses at another post-secondary institution would be eligible for admission awards on an appeal basis provided:
    • The student is being admitted based on his/her high school grades (excludes all post-secondary course work). And,
    • The student is being admitted into year one of a full-time undergraduate degree program at Queen’s.
    • All appeals must be received by December 1 of your first year at Queen’s.
  • To remain eligible for renewal of the award you are expected to:
    • Remain registered in an 80% course load (typically 24 units in Fall/Winter).
    • Achieve a minimum G.P.A. of 3.5
  • Queen’s will calculate an awards average based on grades available at the time you are offered admission. Final grades will be assessed for scholarship and award consideration for those students who accept their offer of admission to Queen’s.
  • To receive and remain eligible to retain an admission scholarship/award in the academic year granted, the student must be admitted and registered as a full-time student in the fall/winter academic year.

  • High school degree certificate.

Second Step: there is no specific application, once you submit your university application, you will be considered to this award.

  • After you have been nominated to study at Queen’s by your home university exchange office, detailed instructions and a link to an online application form will be sent to you directly from our University Admissions office by email. You will be instructed to complete the application form and submit the supporting documents to your home university exchange office.
