Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • You must hold an offer on a full-time Masters course beginning January 2020 at the University of Westminster.
  • You are only able to apply for ONE University scholarship. Submission of multiple applications will result in an automatic rejection, because your financial need is unclear.
  • If you already have an Equivalent Level Qualification (ELQ) you are ineligible to apply for a scholarship. So, if you are a graduate applying for another undergraduate degree or a Master’s graduate applying for a Master degree you are treated as an ELQ student.
  • If your course falls into one or more of the below categories then you are NOT eligible to apply for a scholarship:
    • Postgraduate Diploma.
    • Professional Practice Courses.
    • Conversion Courses.
    • PhD.

How to Apply

First Step: 

You should first apply for a full-time Masters course beginning in January 2020 at the University of Westminster.

  • A good honors degree from a recognized university, or qualification or experience seemed to be equivalent.
  • Minimum IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall (and minimum 5.5 in each component).

Second Step:

  • Before filling your scholarship application, please read this information to help you with your application .click here

Make sure you have the following documents:

  • A copy of the letter/email from the University of Westminster confirming your conditional or unconditional offer of a place on your chosen course.
  • An official copy of your transcript from your most recent/current academic study.
  • A reference letter written specifically in support of your scholarship application. This should be written by a previous tutor or professor and cannot be the same reference provided as part of your admission application.

Third Step:

Please take into account the following when making your scholarship application:

  • Your application must be typed, not handwritten.
  • Please complete all sections of the application form. Incomplete applications will automatically be rejected.
  • Make sure you provide all required supporting documentation the (the list of required documentation is outlined on before you apply page and on the application form itself). Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.
  • Do not submit more than the requested documentation. Please do not send original documents, as they are cannot be returned.
  • You can only apply for one type of University scholarship.
  • Spend time on your application. You are in competition with some of the strongest students in the world.
  • Do not exceed the word limit given for any section of the application.
  • Check your application for spelling and grammar errors.
  • Make a complete copy of the application before you send it.
  • If you are rejected, you cannot reapply for a Westminster scholarship for two calendar years. For example, if your application for September 2019 is rejected, the next scholarships program you can apply for is September 2021.

Please note: certified translations of any supporting documents written in languages other than English must be provided. Please do not send your own personal copies or originals of documents as we are unable to return these to you.
