Tashbeek II: Online Courses
Tashbeek II aims to engage a cohort of 100 university students in an online course as well as in-person exchange sessions that focus on providing knowledge and concepts in the area of conflict resolution and peaceful thinking. The purpose of the Program is to better equip the Egyptian Youth to think strategically and critically, to use evective approaches to peace building within their communities, and to resolve disputes in their surroundings through non-violent means in their daily attitude and their life style.
This is an introductory course, designed for young Egyptians who do not necessarily have a community engagement experience and would like to acquire the primary conceptual framework for a future and evective youth led-community initiative.
The primary knowledge exchange is designed to be through online sessions and exercises. Monthly debriefing sessions will follow, upon course completion, to provide the participants with a space to share what they learned, and to ask questions they may have. These sessions could also include additional practical exercises and thematic roundtable discussions. Then the course will end with a three-day capstone workshop and a graduation ceremony. A live training will be organized for 20 applicants out of the 100 on skills related to conflict resolution. The selection of the training participants will be based on objective criteria that will be launched later throughout the project.
