The Jenderal Soedirman Scholarships (SS) offer foreign graduates from other countries from all disciplines to take a postgraduate (Master’s or Doctor’s degree) at Unsoed for academic year 2020 (start at September 2020).

Note: Institutional TOEFL will not be accepted.

EGYPT, SYRIA, IRAQ, PALESTINE, JORDAN, LEBANON, TUNISIA, ALGERIA, MOROCCO, SUDAN, LIBYA, SAUDI ARABIA, EMIRATES, KUWAIT, QATAR, BAHRAIN, OMAN, YEMEN, SOMALIA, DJIBOUTI, MAURITANIA, TURKEY, IRAN, CYPRUS, COMOROS, & OTHER COUNTRIES ARE NOT FROM THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA.

Program Period

Master’s students for no more than 2 Academic Years & Doctoral students for no more than 3 Academic Years.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Candidates fulfill the necessary academic requirements and can be expected to successfully complete a study program in Unsoed.
  • Candidates have a Bachelor degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subject for Master.
  • Candidates have a Master degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subject for Doctor.
  • Candidates can prove their motivation is development-related and be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support processes of change in their personal and professional environment after their training/scholarship.
  • Non Indonesia citizen.
  • The age is < 30 years for Master and < 35 years for Doctoral (on the deadline of application).

  • Jenderal Soedirman Scholarship (JSS) provides a scholarship which covers waived tuition fees.

  • Minimum GPA is 2,75 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.

  • Academic letter/s of recommendation from your university; the letter must have a signature and office stamp and must be of recent date.
  • Proof of language abilities – English – IELTS or TOEFL (Note: Institutional TOEFL will not be accepted), TOEFL Minimum 550, TOEFL iBT 80, or IELTS 6.0.
  • Copies of awarded academic degrees.
  • Copies of academic transcripts.

For Doctoral Program:

  • Awarded Master degree.
  • Minimum GPA is 3.00 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
  • Research Proposal.

  • Copy of Medical statement.
  • Academic letter/s of recommendation from your university; the letter must have a signature and office stamp and must be of recent date.
