John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering (2019)- Sussex University
The John Kinghorn Scholarship is available to applicants applying to study a Masters degree taught in the school of Engineering. While three scholarships are available, one of these scholarships is reserved for a female applicant, in order to encourage participation in STEM subjects.

- To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have received and accepted an offer of a full time place on one of the previous Masters courses beginning at Sussex in September 2019.
- Bachelors degree from a university with an overall grade of at least 70%.
- For 5G Mobile Communications and Intelligent Embedded Systems MSc, Digital Signal and Image Processing MSc, and Engineering Business Management MSc programs, your qualification should be in engineering, although other numerate subjects such as mathematics, physics or computing will also be considered. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
- For Robotics and Autonomous Systems MSc,you are suited to this course if you are a non-engineering graduate and your degree-level qualification is in a subject including or related to mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, agricultural engineering, and a subject with a high analytical content such as economics, experimental psychology, and physical geography. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
- For Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc,your qualification should be in engineering (mechanical or automotive), mathematics or physics. You can also apply for this course if your qualification is in a closely related discipline where you have studied mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid flow. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
- IELTS (Academic) Standard level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component) or alternative English language qualifications.
- You need to apply for a Tier 4 or short-term study visa to study in the UK through the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) website.

First Step: Applying for the master program.
- Register in the postgraduate application system.
- Activate your account.
- Sign into your account and apply for the master program:
- Choose you master program and press “Apply“.
- Please complete each section of the application and upload the required documents (undergraduate degree certificate, personal statement, CV, at least one academic reference).
- Submit your application.
Second Step: Receiving and accepting an offer of a place on an eligible Masters program.
Third Step: Fill in the scholarship application and submit it.
