It gives you a critical understanding of the complexity of urban sustainability and the need for local action to combat global climate change.

Master in Urban Climate and Sustainability is open for both existing urban professionals and those with multidisciplinary environmental backgrounds, and offers several professional pathways in leading sustainable urban climate change adaptation/mitigation.

- Bachelor degree or equivalent in a field relating to Urban Sustainability, particularly one of the main streams of the programme; Planning, Management, or Science.
- At least three years working experience after Bachelor degree, counting up to the month before the course start.
- English competence equivalent to at least IELTS 6.5 in average, and minimum 6.0 in any of the four components (listening, reading, writing, speaking). The required overall score corresponds to about TOEFL 80 or CEFR C1.
Note: In case you have no valid certificate, you are required to make a CEFR self-evaluation in the application form, which will be followed-up by an interview if you qualify for the second phase. Selected candidates must submit necessary English competency certificate, which is also required by UK immigrant authorities.

Scholarship covers:
- the student participation costs (including the tuition fees, library and laboratory costs, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to the students’ participation in the Master).
- student travel and installation costs.
- A monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme.

First Step: Open for application.Online forms, no supporting documents except passport copy required at this stage. Eligible applicants will be ranked according to the course scoring system.Top-ranked preqalified applicants will be invited to a Skype interview, and to submit full supporting documentation.
Second Step: You must submit the following services:
- Profile: You will fill out your personal data when registering. You may change e-mail, phone number or Skype address only before submission. Contact the support ([email protected]) if other data needs to be adjusted.
- Education: Educational background, degrees, publications and other academic achievements.
- Work: Work experience, employments and reference persons.
- Motivation: A short statement why you apply to this programme.
- Skills: Level of English language proficiency, and other relevant skills.
- Uploads: Upload scanned copies of your passport main page (required) and other documents (optional).
After completing and checking them all, submit your entire application.
Third Step: If you qualify for the final application, you will be given further instructions by e-mail.
Note: We advise you to already now prepare certified copies of supporting documents for upload. Also (if not your recognized official language) a recent English language test must be presented in order to get a visa.
