The school of History, Classics & Archaeology is pleased to invite applications from outstanding candidates for the Fennell Masters Scholarship to attract the best and brightest candidates to study in Edinburgh.

Two scholarships of £27,700 will be awarded to applicants accepted onto an eligible on campus one year History Masters programme.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Awards will be made on academic merit and the potential to excel at the chosen programme of study.
  • Successful applicants must hold a UK 2.1 or first class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field, or should be able to prove their academic merit through evidence of professional achievements, awards or publications relevant to their chosen programme of study.
  • Candidates in this latter category should note that a good first degree will still be required.
  • Non-native English Language speakers must meet the University entry requirements of IELTS total 7.0 (at least 6.0 in each module) or equivalent. For more information of English language requirements, click here.
  • International applicants requiring a Tier 4 visa.

  • The total value of the scholarship is £27,700. This will cover tuition fees and the balance wil be paid as a stipend.

How to Apply

Second step: From the right side of the screen, press ‘ Apply‘.

Third Step: Fill in the application, upload the required documents (Academic Qualifications, English Language Qualification, your transcript and its translation, your references) and submit it.

Fourth Step: Applying for admission will generate your UUN (University User Name) which you will need in order to apply for scholarships. Once you have applied for admission and received your UUN and EASE password, you can apply for scholarships.

Fifth Step: log in to MyEd, by using your University User Name and password and apply to online scholarship application which is located in EUCLID.
