Middle East and Turkey Undergraduate Excellence Award

Middle East and Turkey Undergraduate Excellence Award is a new scholarship for high-achieving international students from Turkey and the Middle East region, covering a contribution towards tuition fees in the first year of your degree course at the University of Nottingham.

Scholarships will only be awarded to students who firmly accept our degree course within UCAS. You do not need to respond to your UCAS offers before applying for this scholarship, but if you are offered a scholarship and you do not select Nottingham as your firm choice, your scholarship offer will be released and offered to another student..

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be a national of or permanently domiciled in one of the eligible countries (listed below)
  • be classed as an ‘overseas’ student for tuition fee purposes
  • hold an offer to begin a full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University of Nottingham in September 2020, in any subject area

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

University of Nottingham offers:

  • nine scholarships of £2,000.
  • three scholarships of £6,500.

How to Apply

First Step: 

Candidates must apply for an undergraduate degree course at Nottingham and receive an offer of study before applying for this scholarship. Search for courses and find out how to apply through UCAS.

Second Step:

Once you have received your offer, you can apply for this scholarship through the scholarships section of MyNottingham. Applications will close at midnight (UK time) on Friday 1 May 2020.

Third Step:

You will be asked a series of questions about your achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing Nottingham. Allow yourself time to prepare strong answers, as the scholarships will be offered to applicants based on academic merit and the strength of your application statements.
