EU Delegation to Egypt Funded Traineeship 2019 for young Graduates

The Delegation of the EU to Egypt offers paid traineeships to young graduates with a university diploma and less than one year of professional experience. Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Egypt?

More Details

A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Press and Information (PI) Team (of the Political Section) of the EU Delegation to Egypt, starting mid-July 2019.

Main tasks:

  • Assisting in preparation of press and information and public diplomacy events.
  • Updating the Delegation’s website and social media platforms.
  • Assisting in writing press statements, in addition to press reports on specific issues related to how the EU and the activities of its Delegation are portrayed in the media.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

Applicant must be:

  • Strong background in political science and/or international relations, or a very strong proven capacity for one of those above mentioned fields.
  • Preferably specific knowledge of Egypt’s current domestic, regional, and foreign policy issues.
  • Fluency in English is required Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage in widening the scope of the tasks assigned to the intern.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to produce insightful and timely reports.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain contacts with relevant partners.
  • young graduates.
  • have at least a Bachelor Diploma.
  • maximum one year of professional experience.
  • no previous experience in the EU Institutions longer than 6 weeks.
  • citizens of the host country, nationals from the EU Member States or pre-accession States.

Opportunity Cost

(Paid Opportunity)

The applicant will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses.

Note: Applicant must cover by him self All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation.
