PhD fellow in quantum metrology – University of Copenhagen

At the Niels Bohr Institute at University of Copenhagen we currently have two open positions as PhD fellow within quantum metrology. Employment date is 15 November 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The quantum metrology group is within the so-called iqClock consortium. The iqClock consortium is a EU initiative consisting of leading experts from academia and the industry, and the consortium aims to develop the next generations of real use optical atomic clocks. The Niels Bohr Institute is placed in the center of Copenhagen with great accessibility by bicycle and public transportation, which brings the many cultural offers of Copenhagen within close range in the daily life of a PhD fellow.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Applicants should have an MSc degree in physics or engineering with good results and good English skills.
  • As criteria for the assessment of your qualifications emphasis will also be laid on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.

Opportunity Cost

(Paid)

  • The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 317,459 including annual supplement (in addition to pension up to DKK 43,852). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
