Reseau des Jeunes Marocains  Engagés- Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Maroc

The “Young Moroccan Engaged Network” is a program of The Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Morocco, which is a part of the MENA regional strategy, aiming to strengthen the political participation of the younger generation. Launched in 2010, the program aims to qualify a selected number of young people who will take a position of an actor in the life socio-political in order to better respond to the challenges of Moroccan society.

The Friedrich-Ebert Foundation (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung-FES) is a political, cultural, private and public utility institution that subscribes to the ideas and fundamental values of social democracy and the labor movement. Present in Morocco since 1984, the FES works alongside with its partners for the promotion and rooting of democracy, the consolidation of the rule of law through training and civic education.

Program Period

The program is scheduled over a period of one year.

A training is scheduled every month.

A national conference will be organized in February 2019 to select about 30 participants in the 7th generation of the RJME.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

40 participants (including 50% of women) will be selected at a national conference in late February 2019:

  • Moroccan between the age of 19 and 29.
  • Available for one weekend a month, between February 2019 and September 2020.
  •  Shows proof of  motivation and the  necessary will for a constructive engagement in the socio-political life of their country.

  • Training free of charge.
