Doctoral (PhD) student position in Developmental Neurotoxicity Focusing on Endocrine Disruptors

The Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM) is a department at Karolinska Institutet and an interdisciplinary research institution within the broad field of environmental medicine. IMM conducts cutting edge research within the areas of environmental and occupational medicine, toxicology, physiology, epidemiology, and biostatistics with the aim to clarify how environmental and lifestyle factors affect our health and which role genes have.
The PhD project is part of the ENDpoiNTs project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon-2020 framework. The aim of ENDpoiNTs is to develop new computational, in vitro and in vivo methods and readouts to predict developmental neurotoxicity induced by EDCs. Methods developed in ENDpoiNTs will be integrated into novel testing strategies to significantly improve EDC testing and risk assessment.

candidates must:
- Has been awarded advanced/second-cycle/master qualification (i.e. master degree).
- Has acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in some other way in Sweden or abroad.
- Proficiency in English equivalent to the course English B (such as through IELTS or TOEFL):

IELTS Academic: Minimum test results (an overall mark of 6.5 and no section below 5.5
TOEFL Paper-based test (PBT): A total score of 575 and 4.5 in the written test
TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): A total score of 90 and 20 in the written test
:Applicants will be evaluated on an overall basis
- Documented subject knowledge of relevance to the area of research.
- Analytical skill.
- Other documented knowledge or experience that may be relevant to doctoral studies in the subject.
