They are looking for highly motivated, excellent candidates with a master’s degree in physics or related fields, to advance our research in the field of quantum optomechanics, from 1 January 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The PhD position is for a 3-year period and the key tasks as a PhD student at Science are:
To manage and carry through your research project, Attend PhD courses, Write scientific articles and your PhD thesis, Teach and disseminate your research, To stay at an external research institution for a few months, preferably abroad and Work for the department
They are looking for individuals enthusiastic to acquire, apply and advance their scientific skills within a dynamic international team. Experience in the fields of experimental and theoretical quantum Opto- or electromechanics, nanomechanics, and ultra low-temperature techniques is a plus.
The Quantum Optomechanics group at the Niels Bohr Institute specializes in measurement, control, and conversion of the motional quantum states. They have pioneered mechanical systems with exceptional coherence which allow reaching new regimes in this endeavor, in terms of sensitivity and efficiency.
