Community Energy Modelling: Prescriptive Analytics PhD, Loughborough University

Applications are invited for PhD research in the SABCE on the development of a prescriptive analytics engine for building energy systems.The goal is to develop an automated building assistant to help facilities managers maintain efficient operation.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, at least a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Applicants having a background in subjects relating to building energy use, mechanical or control engineering, and computing science are particularly welcomed.
  • A relevant master’s degree and/or employment experience will be an advantage.
  • The standard University IELTS English language requirements is 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each individual element (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Some departments may require higher levels English language. If accepted, this will be explained in your offer letter.For further details you can visit the  International website.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • Funding will cover tuition fees at the international rate in full, but the student will be responsible for their own living costs (estimated at £14,500 per year).
