Five 2-year, full-time positions as postdocs are available for highly dedicated researchers at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, starting on 15 August 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The mission of the Department of Public Health is to provide the scientific foundation for improving public health, both nationally and globally. This includes increased understanding of the links between health, the individual and society as well as the ethical, equity and political implications of poor health and health interventions. The postdoc positions will be attached to one of the eight sections at the Department of Public Health linked to a particular relevant research group. Program Period

The employment as a postdoc is a full time and fixed-term position for two years. Starting date is 15 August 2019 or after the agreement.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • A completed PhD
  • Experienced in research methods and theory of relevance for your proposed research
  • Publications in international peer-reviewed journals
  • Past experience from an international research environment
  • Enterprising
  • Excellent skills in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams
  • Research project management experience considered an advantage
  • Teaching and supervisory experience at university level considered an advantage

Opportunity Cost

(Paid opportunity)

  • Currently, the monthly salary starts at 33,600 DKK/ approx. 4,480 Euro (April 2018-level).
  • Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated.
  • The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.
