The International Peace Research Association Foundation invites applications for the Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship in Peace and Development Studies for Women from countries in the Global South.

The International Peace Research Association (IPRA) is an independent international non-governmental body with members in over seventy countries and all regions of the world. IPRA was founded in 1965 to advance interdisciplinary research into the conditions of peace, as well as the causes of war and other forms of violence.

Any Master program focused on issues related to the goals of International Peace Research Association Foundation in Netherlands as:

EGYPT, SYRIA, IRAQ, PALESTINE, JORDAN, LEBANON, TUNISIA, ALGERIA, MOROCCO, SUDAN, LIBYA, SAUDI ARABIA, EMIRATES, KUWAIT, QATAR, BAHRAIN, OMAN, YEMEN, SOMALIA, DJIBOUTI, MAURITANIA, TURKEY, IRAN, CYPRUS, COMOROS, & OTHER COUNTRIES ARE NOT FROM THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA.

Program Period

Two years.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Available to women who have completed a Bachelor’s degree, who have been accepted into a Master program and whose graduate work is to be focused on issues related to the goals of The International Peace Research Association (IPRA).
  • Funds will only be dispersed when the selected candidate is admitted into a graduate program.
  • Awards are considered based on need; therefore students with substantial funding sources are less likely to be considered for the award.
  • Do not apply if you are male, if you are an undergraduate.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • $5,000 per year for two years.

  • Letter of Acceptance to your graduate program.
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation (recommenders must email letters directly to Program Administrative Assistant Ms. Crystal).
