UMM internship program 2019

UMM Internship Grant is awarded and administered by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Indonesia, to provide a unique opportunity for postgraduates to gain valuable international experience in Indonesia.

The internship includes:

(1) Learning of Indonesian language and exposure to Indonesian cultures,

(2) Teaching strategy course and Research,

(3) Practical training at UMM.

  • Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Biology – English Education – Mathematics)
  • Faculty of Social and Political Science (Social Welfare – Communication Science – Governmental Science – International Relations)
  • Faculty of Engineering (Industrial Engineering – Electrical Engineering – Mechanical Engineering (1) – Information Technology – Civil Engineering)
  • Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (Agro technology/Agronomy – Forestry – Food Science and Technology – Animal Husbandry – Agribusiness – Fishery)
  • Faculty of Health Sciences (Pharmacy – Physiotherapy – Nursing – Nurse Educational Profession)
  • Medical Faculty (Medical Education)
  • Faculty of Psychology (Psychology)

Program Period

20 weeks startring from september 2019 

It can be proposed by interns with recommendation from the department/faculty to be extended to another 20 weeks.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • be a non-Indonesian citizen
  • recently completed a postgraduate degree
  • have field of study offered in the Grant
  • be available for the full internship period
  • have commitment to rules applied in UMM
  • have multi-culturally understanding traits
  • applicants who have not been to Indonesia are preferred

  • UMM Internship Grant covers
    1. UMM Internship Grant IDR 4.000.000 /Month
    2. Indonesian language course
    3. Practical teaching strategy course and research
    4. Cultural immersion and International forum
