Start your career in medicine
If your aim is to study medicine, then you can begin your academic journey at the University of Aberdeen International Study Centre. Our Undergraduate Foundation Programme is a three term programme designed to prepare you for a medical degree at this top-ranking British university. Following a highly competitive selection process, successful students will then join the Sri Lanka Medical Pathway, with three years spent in Aberdeen, before completing two years of clinical placement in Sri Lanka. At the end of this time, students will graduate with an MBChB in Medicine.

Academic requirements
Good high school graduate grades or equivalent. For our Life Sciences pathway, you will also need to have studied Chemistry and one other science or Maths subject. For the Physical Sciences and Engineering pathway, Maths and/or Physics may also be required.

Experience everything from biology and biomedical science to environmental science and sociology at the University of Aberdeen, as you study surrounded by world-class facilities and internationally renowned research.

Academic qualification(s) you need
IGCSE / GCSE / O-Level: 5 passes with grade 4 minimum or grade C, including native language
