BuSSy is hunting for Summer interns 2019

  • The BuSSy Project is looking for creative, motivated interns to join the BuSSy team this Summer.
  • Interns will work with the BuSSy website team on managing and editing content for the project’s website.
  • The interns will have the opportunity to learn more about theatre, social responsibility, and women’s issues and work closely with the BuSSy team.

More Details

  • BuSSy is a performing arts project that documents and gives voice to censored untold stories about gender in different communities in Egypt.
  • The project organizes storytelling workshops and performances where women and men step on stage to share stories about harassment, rape, gender discrimination, honor killing, forced marriage, Female genital mutilation, motherhood, domestic violence, child abuse, mass sexual assaults and many others, from different communities and cities in Egypt.

  • Managing and editing content.
  • Theatre and Drama studies.

Program Period

2-3 days/ week

The internship will be on a part-time basis, with a set schedule, 2-3 days a week.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Current undergraduate student or recent graduate.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficient knowledge of online media tools & Google tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of Cairo’s arts and culture scene.
  • Good writing skills in English and Arabic.
  • Though the internship is unpaid, we do offer sponsorship to receive credit from your university.

Opportunity Cost

Although the training is unpaid, Bussy offers the required papers to prove the work hours of the trainees in the project that are offered to the universities.
