Lincoln University Doctoral Scholarships are awarded for the purpose of supporting postgraduate study and research at Lincoln University. The number of scholarships to be awarded in any year shall be determined by the Vice-Chancellor.

Program Period

scholarship shall be tenable for a maximum of three years from the commencement date of the tenure of the scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Scholarships will be open to applicants who have gained entrance into a Doctor of Philosophy at Lincoln University.
  • Academic Merit:
    A minimum grade point average equating to an A- (80%) average is required in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Research or other relevant experience.

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • The current value of the award is $24,000 per annum.
  • The first payment shall be made as soon as practicable after the student has registered for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at Lincoln University.

First Step: Prepare the Following: 

  • A statement of your research topic, this should be approximately half to one page in length.
  • A completed application form Fill The Application form from HERE.
  • A current Curriculum vitae.
  • Two academic references as per the application form Fill the Referee form from HERE.
  • A copy of your Lincoln admission letter.
  • Photocopies of all tertiary qualifications, the grading system and graduation certificates for each qualification gained other than those studied at Lincoln University.
