Technology and Society: Connections Across Frontiers with Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange

‘Technology and Society’ is the first original Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange Interactive Open Online Course in Arabic. This opportunity invites youth to explore the role that technology plays in our everyday lives and societies.

Stimulated by materials from expert academics and practitioners, participants exchange ideas and perspectives in weekly, live, online group sessions. Participants will learn from, and with their peers in an interactive, intercultural, online environment and reflect on the societal changes that come with technological developments.

Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange is part of the Erasmus+ programme, providing an accessible, ground-breaking way for young people to engage in intercultural learning. Working with Youth Organisations and Universities, the programme is open to any young person aged 18-30 residing in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean.

Program Period

6 weeks.

Start Date: 4 November 2019.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Participants in this Interactive Open Online Course come from across Europe and the Southern Mediterranean (resident in one of the Erasmus+ programme countries or Southern Mediterranean countries).
  • The course is open to anyone between the age of 18-30.
  • a basic level of arabic language skills (B1/2 level) that enables the participant of basic conversations.
  • Have access to a computer with a webcam and microphone to participate in the online sessions
  • Availability for the same 2-hours throughout the whole duration of this 6-week course, to participate in the online sessions.
  • Have 1-2 hours to invest in various assignments that support you explore the weekly topic.

  • They will be awarded an Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange digital Badge to highlight the skills achieved.
