The EIPOD fellowship programme – European Molecular Biology Lab (EMBL)
EMBL welcomes highly motivated fellows interested in moving into a new area of research as it is envisaged that fellows bring their specific skill sets to an EIPOD project and benefit from acquiring a new set of skills.

EMBL is Europe’s flagship laboratory for the life sciences. Its interdisciplinary, curiosity-driven research programme fosters early independence and encourages collaboration.They are more than 1600 people, from over 80 countries, operating across six sites.

- The EIPOD is open for all nationalities.
- Scientific excellence and interdisciplinary is a must.
- The applicant must have a PhD (or 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience) before he or she can start his or her EIPOD position.
- Scientists doing postdoctoral research in another institution are welcomed.
- Postdocs at EMBL are also eligible to apply provided that previous affiliation with EMBL does not exceed 12 months in the last three years prior to the submission deadline.

EMBL covers:
- Funding for cross-disciplinary projects.
- Three years’ of secure funding.
- Providing generous health care benefits and pension access.
- Development of a project proposal forms the basis for recruitment.
EMBL does not cover the travel expenses.
