The Turkish Summer School 2019 by Yunus Emre Institute is calling for applicants from all over the world to apply for the YEE Turkish Summer School. There are no application fees and there is no need for TOEFL/ IELTS/ GRE for 2019 Turkey summer exchange program. The YEE Turkey cultural exchange program will cover all the expenses of the final candidates. The Turkish summer schools 2019 will run from 22nd July 2019 to 4th August 2019.

Yunus Emre Institute is a worldwide non-profit organization created by the Turkish government in 200. Along with educational activities, Yunus Emre Institute organizes art and culture events and supports scientific studies all around the globe through Yunus Emre Turkish Culture Centres and liaison offices at various universities worldwide.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

For the Turkish Cinema Summer School:

  • Good command of English.
  • Should be between 18-35 years of age.
  • Should be open to intercultural dialogue.
  • Should have a genuine interest in foreign cultures.
  • Should be studying/have studied cinema or be working in the cinema industry.
  • Should have taken part in a film project.

For the Archaeology Summer school:

  • Good command of English.
  • Should be between 18-35 years of age.
  • Should be open to intercultural dialogue.
  • Should have a genuine interest in cultural heritage and archaeology.
  • Should be studying/have studied Social Sciences, archaeology, culture studies, history, geography, cultural anthropology, folklore, art history, etc.
  • Should preferably a freshman or sophomore at the university level.

For the Turkish Literature Summer School:

  • Good command of Turkish (at least B2).
  • Should be between 18-35 years of age.
  • Should open to intercultural dialogue.
  • Should have a genuine interest in Turkish literature.
  • Should be a student or graduate of Turkish, Turkology, Ottoman/Turkish studies, South Europe studies, etc.
  • Should preferably be working in a field to do with Turkish or Turkish literature such as doing the translation into or from Turkish.
  • Should have no health problems that could impede traveling.

Opportunity Cost

This program (Cinema, Archaeology, and Turkish Literature) will cover:

  • Round Trip International Flight Tickets & local transportation.
  • Accommodation.
  • Three meals a day.
  • Course material.
  • Museum fees.
  • Guidance.

Scholarship does not cover the following:

  • Personal travel insurance.
  • Visa costs.
  • Personal expenditures.
