Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship 2020 – University of Exeter

Undergraduate Global Excellence scholarships are worth up to £5000, payable as a reduction of the 2020 international tuition fee for the first year of study only.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  • Scholarships are available for the previously mentioned eligible programmes.
  • For the college of life and environmental sciences: Applicants who achieve GCE A level grades AAB or International Baccalaureate 34 points or the equivalent in another recognised curriculum will be considered:
  • For medical school:
    1. For applicants to Medical Sciences including BSc Medical Sciences pathways in Human Genomics or Environment and Human Health, BSc Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences or BSc Neuroscience, you must achieve GCE A level grades AAA or International Baccalaureate 36 points or the equivalent in another recognised curriculum.
    2. For applicants to MSci Nursing, you must achieve GCE A level grades AAB or International Baccalaureate 34 points or the equivalent in another recognised curriculum.
  • For Business school: Scholarships will be awarded to all eligible applicants who achieve GCE A level grades A*,A,A or International Baccalaureate 38 points or the equivalent in another recognised curriculum.
  • Combined Honours programmes which encompass a discipline not included in the list above are not eligible.

  • You should be applying for the first time for 2020 entry (defered offer holders or applicants applying for deferred or second year entry are not eligible).
  • Applicants applying for advanced entry are not eligible.

  • Scholarships will be awarded for outstanding academic quality and you will be automatically considered when you apply; there is no separate process.

Step 3: Selection and results

  • Awards will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants for full-time study.
  • Academic merit, as determined by predicted or achieved high school grades, identified on the applicants’ UCAS form, is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars.
  • If you are offered an Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship you will receive an e-mail notification after receiving your University offer via UCAS.
  • If successful, to accept the award you must make the University of Exeter’s offer your ‘Firm’ first choice no later than the date stated on UCAS track.
  • Awardees will be required to satisfy any conditions stipulated in their scholarship offer letter no later than 31 August 2020.
