The Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) offers the KAIST International student scholarship or undergraduate international students.

More Details

  • KAIST Undergraduate Scholarships are very competitive and once a student is selected by KAIST, his/her tuition fee is waived off and he/she will get the scholarship based on KAIST policies.
  • There is no separate process for applying for the scholarship.
  • Just check “KAIST scholarship” on the Statement of Financial Resources section on online application for admission.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

International candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

Candidates who have graduated or will graduate from his or her secondary education by August 31st, 2018.

Korean citizens who hold dual citizenship are not eligible to apply as foreign students.
(No transfer programs for international students. You have to apply as a freshman student.)

  • Secondary school profile (Copy)
  • High school/ University transcript (copy)
  • Standardized official test report (Copy)
  • English proficiency test report (Copy)
  • Passport or national ID (Copy)
  • Statment of financial resources (Original)

Opportunity Cost

(Partially Funded)

  • Full tuition fee: tuition exemption for 8 semesters
  • Living expenses: 200,000 ~ 350,000 KRW per month
  • National Health insurance.
