University students are eligible for free off-peak membership to Lifestyles Fitness Centres across Liverpool. The membership covers a host of activities and facilities: gym equipment and fitness suites, tennis, squash and badminton courts, a swimming pool and two golf courses. The Students’ Union also runs British University and College Sport (BUCS) teams in a variety of sports, such as badminton, boxing and cricket, as well as football, hockey, netball and rugby union.
The Students’ Union has over 100 clubs and societies, covering a range of academic and cultural interests. Joining a club or society is a great way to enjoy student life and make friends. You’ll also become more employable as you learn skills such as leadership, negotiation and the ability to use your initiative. The Students’ Union also offers a range of services and activities for students from outside of the UK, including networking and cultural events and trips across the UK.
