 UWC if you are a refugee/asylum seeker residing in Egypt, 2019-2021

The UWC movement seeks students who want to become change-makers for a better world – no matter their socio-economic, religious, national, ethnic or cultural background. Lack of access to education is a major issue affecting young refugees, internally displaced and persecuted people. They are five times more likely to be out of school than more fortunate young people. Refugee communities need future leaders with strong abilities, social consciousness and drive for peace and reconciliation.

How to Apply

First Step: 

To apply, please follow the following steps:

  1. Access UWC online application here.
  2. Sign Up to create an account. Check your email. You should have received a message to confirm your registration. Follow the link in the message to confirm the registration and activate your account.

Second Step:

  1. Once you have activated your account you will be directed to fill out the “Applicant Information” form in “Your Tasks” by clicking the “Start” button on the right.
  2. Please note that you must select the Nationality as Egypt Refugees and the Country of Residence as Egypt in the Applicant Information form in order to apply to UWC Egypt Refugees.
  3. After you have filled out the required information, click on “save and exit” and you will be redirected to the home page.
  4. Scroll down and click on the green button at the bottom of your account page labelled “View Applications.” A list of applications by different national committees to which you are eligible to apply will appear.

Third Step:

  1. Choose the UWC Egypt Refugee application form and fill the form.
  2. You will be asked to upload some documents. We are aware that some documents may not be available due to the special refugee condition, and have thus kept most document uploads optional.
  3. You will be asked at the end of the form to sign the application form online by hand and have your guardians sign it.

Note:

  • Once you have completed the application form, and signed it, do not forget to press the “Submit your Application” button, which will appear at the end of your tasks list.
