The Sunny Art Prize Competition and Exhibition

The Sunny Art Prize is an international art competition hosted by Sunny Art Centre, London. This fine art award is a global platform, giving an opportunity to emerging and established artists to showcase their talents to a wider audience.

More Details

We aim to display artistic and cultural diversity to the international art scenes of London, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Macau. Sunny Art Award will promote an exchange in creativity between Western and Eastern cultures.

We are looking for a variety of submissions which can range from two-dimensional works such as paintings, drawings, and photographs, to three-dimensional sculptures, ceramics and jewelry.

  • Open for submission:10thAugust 2017 – 20th June 2018.
  • Stage 1 | Exhibition Selection via Online Submission: 25thJune 2018 – 28th June 2018.
  • Announcement of the 30 shortlisted artists (shortlisted artists will exhibit at the Sunny Art Prize 2018 Exhibition at the Sunny Art Centre): 10th July 2018 (announcement made online as well).
  • Stage 2 | Shortlisted artworks to be delivered to Sunny Art Centre in London for the judges to decide on the Art Prize winners: by 31stthJuly 2018.
  • Art Prize winner to be announced at the Exhibition Opening Night at Sunny Art Centre:1stSeptember 2018.
  • Sunny Art Prize Exhibition 2018 at the Sunny Art Centre (London, UK):1st– 30th September 2018.

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

1. The competition is open to all artists from around the world.
2. Artists must be aged 18 years or over as of 10th August 2018.
3. Sculpture, Paintings, drawings, original prints, photography, ceramics and jewelry artworks are accepted.
4. The artworks, if shortlisted for judging, must be the same work previously submitted as a digital image and be available for the next stage of judging and if selected for the exhibition(s) including the whole exhibition period. We will not be able to allow collection within the exhibition period.
5. Maximum size is 150cm x 150cm, including frame.
6. The competition is limited to four entries per artist. All entries must be of original works that have been completed within three years prior to 10th June 2018.
7. On receipt of the registration and entry fee, a confirmation email will be sent to the artist.
8. All correspondence with artists will be via email unless specifically requested otherwise.

9. All work submitted must be available for sale.

First Prize:
The winner will receive £3,000, a public solo exhibition at Sunny Art Centre in London, a one-month residency along with a show at the organization partners’ galleries.

Second Prize:
The winner will receive £2,000, a group exhibition, a one-month residency and a show at the organization partners’ galleries.

Third Prize:
The winner will receive £1,000, a group exhibition, a one-month residency and a show at the organization partners’ galleries.

30 Shortlisted Artists’ works will be exhibited during the summer at Sunny Art Centre, London.

The entry fee for this competition is £25 for one artwork, £32 for two artworks, £40 for three artworks and £45 for four artworks.
