D-Prize Global Competition 2020
Many solutions to poverty already exist. The challenge is distributing these solutions to the people who need it most. Their programs will award the most promising teams to launch a pilot version of their new organization wherever extreme poverty exist.

The world has already invented products and services to end poverty. Yet millions of people still don’t have access. The challenge for the opportunity to social entrepreneurs to design a business or NGO that solves one of the Distribution Challenges below:

EVALUATION PROCESS
ROUND 1
Submit your application. D-Prize generally receive 1000 submissions a competition.
ROUND 2
Top 5% of entrepreneurs are invited to submit a full 10 page proposal. You will have four weeks to draft and submit.
FINAL ROUND
Top entrepreneurs interview via phone and email. The top 1-2% will receive up to $20,000 to launch.
LAUNCH
You will spend the next three months using your talent to start a venture that can grow and help millions of people.

Eligibility criteria for applicants
- D-Prize challenges are open to anyone or any teams. The sole restriction is that individuals and their immediate family on the judging panel may not participate as a contestant.
- D-Prize is also open to any business model (for-profit, non-profit, and everything in between).
- Up to 20 of the most promising proposals will be selected for funding awards, regardless of which challenge track was selected.
- If you are still a student or have existing commitments, you should have a clear idea how to transition into a full-time founder.

(Prize)
- If selected they will award you up to $20,000 to launch a pilot in any region where extreme poverty exists. The average D-Prize award size is $12,000. The award is offered in the form of a convertible grant.

First Step: Please prepare a concept note which response to the following prompts:
- How does your new organization or venture idea improve the distribution of your selected intervention?
- What is the expected impact of your work?
- Who is your team?
Submission Policies: Proposals must be submitted following the instructions in this packet:
● Concept notes are limited to two pages.
● Extra material outside of the proposal will not be considered.
● Revisions to proposals after submission will also not be considered.
● Only one proposal per person or partnership will be considered.
● Proposals must be written in English.
Second Step: Please include a resume for each person on your team, limited to one page per person. Resumes should highlight the most relevant past leadership roles and accomplishments.
